Andrés is a 32-year-old immigrant from Ecuador, currently living in NYC. At age 18, and knowing no English, Andrés immigrated alone to the U.S. Understanding the importance of a strong education and command of language, Andres immediately began his formal education by taking English as Second Language (ESL) classes, then acquiring a Political Science degree from Hunter College and a Master's in Public Administration (MPA) from Baruch College. He has experience working in governmental bodies including the UN, NY State Senate, and NY State Assembly. Currently, he is a government relations consultant representing not-for-profits, nightlife venues, and property owners before the NYC government and the state legislature, which he has done for about 4.5 years. As president of the Greenwich Village Chelsea Chamber of Commerce (GVCCC), he has strong relationships with NYC Council members, borough and city-wide elected officials, and state legislators. Andres has really achieved The American Dream!
